About us
St
Mary Magdalene CE Primary is a small single form entry, Sandwell
primary school welcoming around 230 pupils aged between 3 and 11.
We are fortunate to have a Nursery to enable us to offer morning or
afternoon sessions to children in the year of their fourth birthday.
Our school site is compact but we have endeavoured to utilise every
little bit of space that we can to maximise the learning experiences
of our pupils. We pride ourselves on the 'family feel' that our
school provides.
We
have hardworking and dedicated staff who aim to bring learning alive
for the children and to make the curriculum as relevant, exciting
and as stimulating as they can make it. We always aim to cater for
all children's needs and recognise the fact that children learn best
in different ways and at different rates.
We
value the strengths that each child has and develop them, providing
support and encouragement along the way. We describe ourselves as a
'can do' school and encourage children to try hard and to do their
best at all times. Our expectations are high but realistic!
In
addition to intellectual development, we place great importance on
developing the social skills that are crucial for children to be
able to interact with other children and adults effectively. We hope
to develop skills that will form a firm foundation for all future
learning.
It is expected that a
child's road to success will be through fostering a partnership between school and home. We welcome visitors, so if you would like to make an appointment to see us, please telephone the school to arrange this. You can be assured of a warm welcome.

School Prayer
Dear God, Help us to make our school happy and peaceful. Help us to
make it a place full of love: love of one another, love of learning
and love of God. Let us remember that as we live, work, learn and
grow together, You are with us in all we do. Amen
