Governors
Meet the Governors
The governing board, with the headteacher, has overall responsibility for the running of the school. Governing boards have three core strategic functions:
• Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
• Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils; and
• Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

Neil Kingston Co-opted governor I moved to West Bromwich 10 years ago and have 3 children. My eldest 2 are currently at St Mary Magdalene and I am hoping that my youngest will also join the school in a few years. I am very committed to contributing to the continued success of the school and having worked in finance for over 20 years, including a period supporting schools' finances in a local authority, I have a wealth of experience that I will be able to use in my role as parent governor. I am a keen runner and triathlete, so you may see me dropping off the children in my shorts. |
Rachael Foster Staff governor
It's a pleasure to introduce myself to you all. I am Rachael Foster, staff governor who had the priviledge of joining the St Mary Magdalene team in 2021. This came after working over twenty one years as a Nursery Nurse within another Sandwell school.
I was born in West Bromwich and attended local schools. I am always so proud to say that the staff helped me get to where I am today.
My passion is in supporting children, parents and all members of our Mary Magdalene family.
In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors amongst nature with my husband and dog Honey. I'm also a mad crafter making many different things by sewing, knitting or crocheting.
