At St Mary Magdalene times tables are an important part of our daily routine. Children will learn some element of times tables right from EYFS, when they are starting to count in 10's. 

In the summer of 2022, children in Year 4 will sit a multiplication check to establish if they are able to quickly recall the times tables up to 12x12. 

The expectations for learning times tables in each year group are below. 

To support children at home with their times tables there are lots of things that you can do. 

• Ask them random facts on the way to and from school.
• Times tables posters around the house. 
• Encourage early counting. 
• Times tables games such as times tables rockstars and numbots. 
• BBC supermovers videos
